Cargill's column has appeared in Bond's beloved Daily Gleaner for 45 years, and was a good friend of Fleming's for some 20 years.
He also oversaw the publication of the fine essay collection Ian Fleming Introduces Jamaica and is still producing reflections on Jamaican life today.
This book, while somwhat rare, is an excellent refereere for those who wish a broad understanding of Jamaica from Fleming's era.
