Ian Fleming's Jamaica

Scratch Kingston society and you'll find people who knew Fleming. Allan Facey (left) recalls Fleming as humorous and devil-may-care over the course of a couple of luncheon's they had many years ago.

Allan Facey (l) and Valerie Facey (r).

His cousin Valerie Facey (right) is wife of M.P. Maurice Facey and is a leader in the movement to preserve Jamaican architecture and its attendant culture. She's the one who quite correctly told me I couldn't leave the island without first paying a call to Morris Cargill. We'll sit down with him later in our tour.
