Afternoon with an Operative

The gate at Goldeneye

The gate is mysteriously open, so with caution we proceed down the crushed coral lane which is winding through a verdant garden of coconut, banana and cinnamon bark trees. There are maintenance workers on the road ahead, but we smile and nod confidently as we drive past them. We are skirting that thin line between "trespassers on private property" and "curious tourists taking the wrong road." But it's too late now. We see it before us. And it is more idyllic we imagined. Goldeneye . . .
The idyllic Goldeneye
It's Dion's interest in all things Bond that has brought him. It's my interest in all things Dion that has brought me. Though young and brash, Dion is already an elegant man with a touch of piracy that makes him both infuriating and desirable. To make matters more entrapping, he can also be charmingly boyish. And as he parks, pulls up the brake handle and turns smilingly toward me, I see this is one of those occasions. I can't resist that gleam and I smile too.
