I have, on occasion, had the pleasure of watching all the
color run out of fellow collectors' faces when confronted with
this photo of Sean Connery he autographed to me in 1994. I never
did meet Connery; The autograph was arranged through kind consideration
of one Ms. Rosa Reeve, (assistant to avid Bond fan and Qwest Records
V.P. Michael Stradford) who is a friend of Connery's personal
assistant in L.A. Rosa was talking to Connery's liaison one afternoon
and asked if it would one day be possible to get the man's autograph.
She replied yes, in fact, he was there in his L.A. office at that
moment. "Is he busy", Rosa asked? "No, he's just
sitting at his desk, playing with his hands." The rest is
as you see it. The photograph itself is from a week I spent in
Las Vegas researching the roots of the Diamonds are Forever shoot.
I was able to obtain about 10 prints from the original negatives
of the photographer who covered the shoot for the Las Vegas paper.
In this one, Connery is standing outside the foyer of the Tropicana,
shooting a scene that was eventually cut from the film.
