Having a penchant for Fleming first editions and other published
things Bond, I found London's Cecil Court book row not far from
Leicester Square to be an exceptional place. In a little shoppe
called Bell, Book & Radmall the helpful owner produced this
Jonathan Cape first edition of "The Book of Bond, or Every
Man his Own 007" by Tanner (Amis). What puts this edition
on a higher level in my collection is its atypical dust jacket.
Unlike it's American counterpart (which also occupies shelf space
in my Bond anthology) this British pressing comes "with a
reversible bookjacket for work in the field". When turned
over, the jacket title reads as "The Bible, Revised to be
Read as Literature". A surprise find and a welcome addition.
