"This is about giving the kids an opportunity to be successful."

Once he entered the NFL, safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix began looking into the resources available to schools in his hometown of Orlando and Green Bay. What he discovered was a glaring disadvantage that economically-challenged students were facing. Determined to help create an equal balance for all students, he started Ha Ha's Hero Foundation.

The organization focuses on providing "economically-challenged students with a voice of motivation, empowerment and encouragement so they can be Heroes by achieving academic excellence, developing positive personal skills and making positive decisions to avoid high-risk behavior," according to the foundation's website. Currently, Clinton-Dix has been working with schools in his hometown of Orlando and his former NFL home in Green Bay. Soon, he hopes to spread the foundation to his college town of Tuscaloosa, Ala., as well as his new home in the DMV, as he continues to make sure all students are set up for success.

"It's about an opportunity, it's about having the same opportunity as everybody else in this world," Clinton-Dix said. "The youth is important, it's the future."
