On Dec. 9, Norman will wear cleats in honor of his foundation, Starz24. The cornerback's mission is to use his organization to get youth off the streets through events and physical activities. While he's seen his work leave a positive mark on many, Starz24 has been rewarding on a personal level as well.
"It made a huge impact on me, because it's taking kids off the street," Norman said. "Helps them to actually have something to look forward to each and every time we have an event."
In order to continue making positive changes in communities throughout the country, Norman has big plans for 2019. Partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the two foundations are working toward opening a recreation center in Norman's hometown of Greenwood, S.C.
Aiming to open in March or April of next year, the center will give children a place to complete school work, interact with others and participate in physical activities. For Norman, it's an exciting next step toward his goal of bettering the lives of today's youth.
"Get you off of the street and out of the environment that you're on, so there's no excuses," Norman said about the goal of the center. "You can go, you can evolve, you can do your work. So now you're not behind, you're ahead."
