The Washington Redskins will play their second game at MetLife Stadium in a span of four weeks in Week 6 as the team travels to face the New York Jets. Kickoff on Sunday is scheduled for 1 p.m.

After forcing only one takeaway during the team's first three games, the Redskins have recorded five takeaways in the last two games. This week, the Redskins will attempt to force multiple takeaways in a third straight game for the first time since the final three weeks of 2013. Defensive Coordinator Joe Barry — who adamantly calls the statistic "takeaways" instead of "turnovers" — said recently he knew they would come in bunches.

"I'm a firm believer too that takeaways come in droves," Barry said. "You don't know when they're going to happen, you don't know when they're going to come. But it's something that we preach every single day."

The Redskins hope to add to their dominant 8-2 all-time record against the Jets. The Redskins' .800 winning percentage against the Jets is Washington's best against any opponent with a minimum of 10 games played.

THE OPPONENTThe New York Jets enter Week 6 with a 3-1 record coming off of a bye in Week 5. Last year, the Jets finished fourth in the AFC East with a 4-12 record. This season is the team's first season under head coach Todd Bowles.

Veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick leads the Jets passing attack having completed 88-of-145 passes for 924 yards with seven touchdowns and six interceptions this season. Fitzpatrick has also contributed in the running game with 16 rushes for 52 yards (3.3 avg.)

Chris Ivory leads the Jets in rushing with 314 yards on 63 attempts (5.0 avg.) with three touchdowns. Bilal Powell has added 131 yards on 34 rushing attempts (3.9 avg.) this season as well.

Wide receiver Brandon Marshall is the team's leading receiver in his first year in New York. Marshall has a team-high 400 receiving yards on a team-high 30 receptions (13.3 avg.) with three touchdowns. Fellow wide receiver Eric Decker has also contributed 14 receptions for 180 yards with three touchdowns.

Cornerback Darrelle Revis' two interceptions are tied with fellow cornerback Marcus Williams for the team lead. Linebacker David Harris leads the Jets with 27 tackles (20 solo) in his ninth year with the team. Defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson leads the Jets' pass rush with 3.5 sacks through four games.

Kicker Nick Folk handles kicking duties for the Jets and has converted six-of-eight field goals on the year as well as all 11 extra point attempts. Punter Ryan Quigley has averaged 42.1 yards on 21 punts thus far with eight pinning opponents inside their 20-yard line.

Running back Zac Stacy is the team's primary kick returner and has returned six kicks for 127 yards (21.2 avg.) with a long of 31 yards. Wide receiver Jeremy Kerley handles punt returns for New York and has returned 13 punts for 114 yards (8.8 avg.).

• The Redskins facing the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium for the first time in regular season series history.
