FedEx ONE To Watch: Redskins-Giants

Each week during the 2014 season,'s Stephen Czarda will highlight ONE key component to each week's matchup, brought to you by FedEx One Rate.
This week's "One To Watch" is the matchup between Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins and the New York Giants' secondary.**

Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins threw for 427 yards and three touchdowns against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3. Now, with another divisional matchup against the New York Giants on the docket, Cousins will face a tough test against an experienced secondary just five days later.

Giants starting cornerbacks Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie and Prince Amukamura have a combined 24 career interceptions, while starting safeties Stevie Brown and Antrelle Rolle have combined for 32 picks.

Rodgers-Cromartie, Amukamura and Rolle have already recorded interceptions this season.

Brown, meanwhile, led the Giants in interceptions during the 2012 season with eight.

While potent in terms of generating interceptions, the unit is susceptible to giving up lots of yardage through the air, as opponents have passed for almost 260 yards per game against them so far this season.

In a Week 1, Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford hit wide receiver Calvin Johnson for 164 yards and two touchdowns, while Houston Texans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins linked up six times for 116 yards in Week 3.

This will mark the second-career appearance against the Giants for Cousins, as he started the team's last matchup against each other in Week 17 last season.
