Kedric Golston was in Concord, N.C., on Sunday to attend the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 race.
Golston met with former Redskins head coach Joe Gibbs prior to the start of the race.
The race, at Lowe's Motor Speedway, ended in disappointment for Gibbs's racing team.
His driver, Tony Stewart, suffered a flat tire with three laps to go, allowing Kasey Kahne to race past him for the victory.
Several Redskins players, including Chris Cooley, have attended NASCAR races in recent years. In return, Stewart and Dale Earnhardt have been occasional visitors to Redskins Park.
