Colts (0-1) vs. Redskins (1-0)
The Redskins' first preseason road trip is to Indianapolis, where they take on the Colts on Friday, Aug. 19 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Kickoff is 7 p.m. ET.
It's the Redskins' first-ever visit to Lucas Oil Stadium, which opened in 2008.
Lucas Oil Stadium has an artificial surface called FieldTurf. The stadium seats 63,000.
The Redskins are 1-0 in preseason this year after beating the Pittsburgh Steelers 16-7 on Aug. 12 at FedExField.
The Colts are 0-1 after falling to the St. Louis Rams 33-10 at the Edward Jones Dome.
The Redskins' all-time preseason record is 113-117-2. Last year, the Redskins were 2-2 in preseason play.
Friday night's preseason game vs. Indianapolis is the second of four exhibition contests.
The Redskins play a road game against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, Aug. 25. They close out preseason at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, Sept. 1.
The Redskins open the regular season on Sunday, Sept. 11 against the New York Giants at FedExField.
Last year, Washington finished 6-10 and in last place in the NFC East. Indianapolis was 10-6 and finished in first place in the AFC South, but they lost to the New York Jets in the Wild Card Playoffs 17-16.
The Redskins-Colts game will be televised locally on NBC-4 and Comcast SportsNet. Mike Patrick calls the play-by-play and former Redskin Rick 'Doc' Walker provides color commentary. Former Redskin Charles Mann reports from the sidelines.
On radio, the game will be broadcast locally on the Redskins Radio Network. Larry Michael calls the play-by-play with former Redskins and Hall of Famers Sonny Jurgensen and Sam Huff adding color commentary. Chris Russell reports from the sidelines.

SERIES HISTORY
The Redskins and Indianapolis Colts have played 27 times in the preseason, with the Colts holding a 15-11-1 edge.
In 2008 preseason, the Redskins and Colts played in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, with the Redskins winning 30-16 at Fawcett Stadium.
In the regular season, the Redskins and Colts have played 28 times in the regular season, with the Colts holding a 19-10 edge.
Since the Colts moved from Baltimore to Indianapolis in 1984, the regular season series is tied at 4-4.
The two teams last met in the regular season on Oct. 17, 2010 at FedExField in a nationally televised Sunday night contest.
The Colts won 27-24 as quarterback Peyton Manning completed 25-of-38 passes for 307 yards and two touchdowns. For the Redskins, Ryan Torain rushed for 100 and two touchdowns on 20 carries while London Fletcher had a game-high 14 tackles and a forced fumble, but it wasn't enough.
The Redskins' most recent win in the regular season series came on Oct. 27, 2002 at FedExField. They prevailed 26-21.
Quarterback Shane Matthews threw two touchdown passes, one each to Chris Doering and Darnerien McCants, while running backs Stephen Davis and Kenny Watson combined for 147 yards on 31 carries.

FAMILIAR FACES ON THE COLTS
Cornerback and kick returner Justin Tryon played for the Redskins from 2008-09. He was the Redskins' fourth-round draft pick in 2008. He was traded by the Redskins on Sept. 4, 2010 for an undisclosed draft pick.
Guard Kyle DeVan was with the Redskins in 2007 training camp but was released by the team after preseason.
Linebacker Cody Glenn played for the Redskins in 2009 preseason. He was the Redskins' fifth-round draft pick that year, but he was released by the team after preseason.
Running back Javarris James spent one day with the Redskins. He joined the team's practice squad on Oct. 7, 2010, but one day later he signed on with the Colts' 53-man roster.
REDSKINS-COLTS NEWS & NOTES
-- How the Redskins' 80-Man Roster Was Built
The Redskins have 30 players on the roster that the team drafted, including each of the first-round draft picks (Ryan Kerrigan, Trent Williams and Brian Orakpo) of the last three years.
Washington has used free agency to acquire 35 players, including Mike Sellers in 2004, London Fletcher in 2007, DeAngelo Hall in 2008, Rex Grossman in 2010 and Barry Cofield and Stephen Bowen in 2011.
Seventeen Redskins players were acquired as undrafted rookie free agents. This group includes cornerback Byron Westbrook, running back Keiland Williams and tight end Logan Paulsen.
The team has acquired six players via trade: Santana Moss (Jets) in 2005, John Beck (Ravens), Jammal Brown (Saints) and Adam Carriker (Rams) in 2010 and Jabar Gaffney (Broncos) and Tim Hightower (Cardinals) in 2011.
The Redskins have claimed just one player off waivers: defensive tackle Doug Worthington.
-- Manning vs. Redskins
Quarterback Peyton Manning is not expected to play against the Redskins in Friday night's preseason game as he recovers from off-season neck surgery.
In the regular season, Manning has faced off against the Redskins four times in his 13-year NFL career.
On Dec. 19, 1999, Manning completed 23-of-37 passes for 298 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in a 24-21 victory at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis.
Three years later, on Oct. 27, 2002, Indianapolis played at FedExField for the first time and Manning ralled the Colts from a 20-0 halftime deficit. He completed 21-of-32 passes for 214 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, but the Colts ended up losing 26-21.
On Oct. 22, 2006, Manning had a banner day against the Redskins, completing 25-of-35 passes for 342 yards and four touchdowns. His QB rating was 140.4.
That game, Manning rallied the Colts from a 14-13 halftime deficit. He threw three touchdown passes in the third quarter, including a 51-yarder to wide receiver Reggie Wayne, and the Colts won 36-22 at the RCA Dome.
In 2010, Manning led the Colts to a 27-24 win over the Redskins at FedExField. He completed 25-of-38 passes for 307 yards and two touchdowns.
-- Redskins Connection For Colts' Bethea
Colts defensive back Antoine Bethea attended Howard University in Washington, D.C.
Bethea took part in the Redskins' local college workout prior to the 2006 NFL Draft. The workout was held at Redskins Park.
Bethea would go on to be selected by the Colts in the sixth round of the draft.

It's the sixth time the Redskins and Ravens have squared off in preseason in the last seven years.
