The following is a complete recap of news and notes from the Redskins' 13-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys, courtesy of Redskins Public Relations:

• The Redskins opened their season at home for the first time since 2007, a 16-13 overtime victory over Miami, which was also their last win in a season opener.
• The Redskins started their season against an NFC East foe for the third straight season, following two straight season openers against the Giants in 2008 and 2009. It marks the first time the Redskins have started their season against a divisional opponent in three straight years since doing it six consecutive times from 1985-90.
• The Redskins and Cowboys squared off on NBC's Sunday Night Football at FedExField for the third consecutive season.
• The Redskins opened their season against Dallas for the first time since 1999, a game which the Cowboys prevailed 41-35, at FedExField.
• The Redskins began their slate on a Sunday night for the first time since Aug. 31, 1997, when they won, 24-10, at Carolina.
• The Redskins opened their season in prime time against the Cowboys for the first time since Sept. 6, 1993, a 35-16 Washington victory at RFK Stadium in Head Coach Richie Petitbon's first game.
• The attendance of 90,670 was the highest for a home opener in Redskins history and the fourth-largest overall.
• Sunday's game was the Redskins' 351st straight sellout, including playoffs.
• Sunday's game was the 131st consecutive sellout at FedExField, including every regular season, postseason and preseason contest.
• The Redskins opened FedExField parking lots more than eight hours before kickoff for the first time.
• The Redskins shut out their opponent in the first half for the first time since Week 10 of last season, which was also against the Cowboys.
• The Redskins have a share of first place for the first time since Week 2 of 2007.
• The Redskins scored on the first drive of their season for the first time since 2006, when they kicked a field goal against Minnesota (9/11/2006).
• The last time the Redskins' won a game with as little as 25:57 of possession was Oct. 21, 2007 vs. Arizona.
• The win snapped the Redskins' three-game losing streak against Dallas.
• The win was only the Redskins' second in eight season-opening games against the Cowboys.
• The win broke the Redskins' six-game losing streak against the NFC East.
• The win was the Redskins' their first at home since Nov. 15, 2009, a 27-17 win over Denver.
• The win gave Redskins Head Coach Mike Shanahan 155 overall victories, breaking a tie with Hall of Famer Marv Levy for 16th place on the NFL's all-time list for most overall victories as a head coach.
• The win extended Shanahan's lead among active NFL head coaches in Week 1 wins to 13. Bill Belichick, Tom Coughlin and Jeff Fisher are tied for second with 10 apiece.
• The win pushed Shanahan's winning streak over the Cowboys to four games. He owns a 4-1 career record against Dallas.
• The win was Shanahan's first since Dec. 7, 2008 against the Kansas City Chiefs, a game his Denver Broncos won 24-17.
• The win gave Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb 35 wins against NFC East opponents, more than the other three starting quarterbacks in the division combined.
• The win push McNabb's win total against the Cowboys to 12, equaling Dallas with Washington as his most victimized opponent.
• Shanahan became the third Redskins head coach to debut against Dallas, joining Petitbon and Joe Gibbs, who began his head coaching career in a loss at home against Dallas, in 1981. Terry Robiskie also faced Dallas in his first game as interim head coach in December of 2000.
• Anthony Armstrong played in his first career NFL game made his first career catch.
• With six catches on Sunday night Redskins tight end Chris Cooley moved past Kyle Brady for the 42nd-most catches by a tight end in NFL history with 348. Cooley is now approaching Marcus Pollard (349), Jimmie Giles (350) and Mark Bavaro (351) on the list.
• DeAngelo Hall's fumble return for a touchdown was the Redskins first fumble return for a touchdown since Sean Taylor did it at the Philadelphia Eagles on Jan. 1, 2006 (39 yards).
• It was the Redskins first defensive touchdown since Oct. 21, 2007, when London Fletcher returned an interception against Arizona.
• It was the Redskins' first return touchdown since Oct. 26, 2008, when Santana Moss returned a punt at Detroit.
• The fumble return for a touchdown was Hall's first of his career and the third overall touchdown in his career.
• Hall's last fumble came at Dallas on Nov. 22, 2009.
• Rocky McIntosh recorded his first sack since Nov. 23, 2008 at Seattle.
• Donovan McNabb became the first player since the 1970 merger to play the same opponent in three straight games. He also faced Dallas in the 2009 regular season finale and in a Wild Card Playoff loss to end the season.
• McNabb passed for 171 yards, which moved him past Hall of Famer Troy Aikman (32,942) into 22nd place on the NFL's all-time passing list with 33,044. He now needs 81 to pass Hall of Famer Steve Young (33,124) into 21st on list.
• Clinton Portis carried 18 times, which gives him 2,194 for his career and moves him past Hall of Fame Earl Campbell and Shaun Alexander (2,187) for 26th on the NFL's all-time list.
• Devin Thomas' 42-yard kickoff return in the third quarter was a career high. It also matched the Redskins long for the entire 2009 season, which was by Rock Cartwright on Oct. 26 vs. Philadelphia.
