Redskins Host Santa Shoppe At FedExField

The Redskins locker room at FedExField was transformed into a Santa Shoppe on Tuesday, Dec. 16, with toys distributed to more than 1,000 area boys and girls.

Lorenzo Alexander, Chad Rinehart and Matt Sinclair were among Redskins players who joined the Redskins Charitable Foundation at the U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots program in hosting the annual event.

Players gave a helping hand to children in need from 17 Washington, D.C.-area schools and nine community groups. They helped assist children in selecting a holiday toy and then autographed the toy for them.

Santa Claus greeted children as they arrived inside the locker room. One of the famed Hogettes and Miss Teen D.C. were also on hand to help children as well.

Children capped off their day at the Santa Shoppe with a box lunch served at FedExField.

The Washington, D.C. area is in great need of toys. Fans can support Toys for Tots by making a monetary donation by logging onto and indicating the D.C. area as the recipient.

Fans can also contribute by dropping off new and unwrapped toys to participating Redskins Official Stores. Participating locations include the Montgomery Mall, Tysons Corner and Dulles Town Center stores only.

All the toys collected will be distributed to thousands of children in need residing in the National Capital area for the holiday season.
