Redskins Re-sign DB Jimoh

The Redskins have re-signed free agent cornerback Ade Jimoh, the team announced on Tuesday.

Jimoh, 6-1 and 190 pounds, has been a member of the Redskins' roster since 2003, establishing himself as a solid special teams player and reserve defender.

On kick and punt coverage last season, Jimoh logged 20 tackles and one fumble recovery.

Last year, Jimoh's role increased on defense as Shawn Springs struggled through injuries. He logged eight tackles (seven solo) serving as a nickel and dime package cornerback.

For his career, Jimoh has played in 63 games and logged 28 tackles (25 solo) on defense and 65 tackles on special teams.

The Redskins originally signed Jimoh as an undrafted rookie free agent in April 2003. He played his college ball at Utah State, where Chris Cooley was a teammate.
