LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins and Entercom announced today a new broadcasting and marketing partnership to involve all five of Entercom's Washington, D.C. radio stations. The partnership highlights the return of play-by-play commentary of Redskins games in Spanish on El Zol Deportes 1580.
"The Hispanic population in the greater D.C. area is continually growing, and we want to ensure the Redskins are serving our Spanish speaking fans," said Brian Lafemina, President of Business Operations and COO. "Our partnership with Entercom will not only allow for us to engage a new demographic of fans, but also build relationships with listeners of all D.C. Entercom stations."
Telemundo's Moises Linares will provide play-by-play commentary, and sports anchor Juan Romero of 106.7 The Fan and El Zol Deportes 1580 will provide color commentary. All games will be available on the Radio.com app and the Redskins app.
In addition to Spanish play-by-play, the five Washington, D.C. Entercom stations, 106.7 The Fan, WPGC 95.5, El Zol 107.9, El Zol Deportes 1580, and 94.7 Fresh FM, will provide consistent coverage of the Redskins. New programming initiatives include content and contesting around "Redskins Football Fridays," and pregame features and entertainment for all Redskins games at FedExField.
