Jeff Ruiz is a physical therapist who is a dual board-certified specialist in sports and orthopedics.
Prior to joining the Washington Football Team he served as the Director of Rehabilitation for the University of Miami athletic training department. As the Director of Rehabilitation, Ruiz worked with all sports with a primary focus on football. In addition to his duties, he served as an assistant strength coach for Track and Field and worked closely with the strength staff across all sports.
Prior to his work as a physical therapist, Ruiz was a personal trainer and strength coach for several years. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USAW L-1 Sports Performance Coach, and Track and Field Technical Coach. He also served as associate program director in the Sports Physical Therapy Residency and as faculty for the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program. Ruiz has conducted research in the field of injury prevention and rehabilitation, and published articles on several musculoskeletal pathologies.
A Miami native, Jeff is a two-time graduate of the University of Miami, earning a dual bachelor's of science in education in kinesiology and psychology in 2012 and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015. Following his completion of his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (2015), Ruiz completed an Orthopedic Physical Therapy residency at the University of Miami (2016).
