The Redskins had a lot of stuff to remember in 2015.
Now that we've reached the end of the season, the Redskins Blog will select its favorite things from Redskins fans, players, coaches and team personnel over the last 12 months.
We'll continue with our five favorite Instagram posts from wide receiver Jamison Crowder.
1. The Miss Universe Judges:
It's funny how time can make certain things become stranger or more amazing. Look no further than this Instagram photo that Jackson posted back in February. He was one of several Miss Universe judges last year, along with Manny Pacquiao, Rob Dyrdek and, oh yeah, a few others, such as Donald Trump. This was before he announced his candidacy for President and took America by storm. Funny how time works.
2. The Beach Workout:
This is one of the staples of the DeSean Jackson Instagram account. He lives in Southern California so why not train right by the beach if given the option? He puts a backtrack to these kinds of videos – this one did not contain expletives – and the production value can be pretty good, and also pretty funny, depending on the caption and the drama they elicit, like the "Explosive" shot in this video. Expect more of these in the months to come.
3. The East On Lock:
This was the culmination of those beach workout videos: Jackson, in Philadelphia, raising his NFC East division champ hat as a member of the Redskins. In between these two images is a lot of hard work, and in Jackson's case, a lot of time spent in the trainer's room fighting a hamstring injury. Once he was cleared, quarterback Trent Williams only got better and the offense became as dynamic as head coach Jay Gruden hoped.
4. The Fam
Since Jackson lost his father to pancreatic cancer and created his own foundation to help combat the disease, family has always been a major part of his life. If you saw his BET documentary this summer, you will know this to be true. His mom and sister mostly keep him in line, and he knows how important they are to his #brand. In this specific photo, they were all together to remember his father, and probably plan to do so again this year.
5. The DeSean Jr.
As an extension of the above, Jackson began his own family about three months ago. The birth of DeSean Jackson Jr. means we'll probably be seeing another crazy talent emerge in about 16 years. Maybe he'll choose baseball, like Jackson almost did.
Honorable Mention: The Big Cat
This kind of photo should be noted only because Jackson posts them often. He has a collection featuring lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars, and, well, just about every big cat imaginable. Other teammates have followed suit, too. If it works, it works, I suppose. Last name hungry. First name always.
