If you happened to catch "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Thursday night, or watched some video clips the next morning, then you're aware that Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook enjoys peanut butter jelly sandwiches, and is very particular about them.

In an unusually detailed explanation, he described the ideal sandwich, which he eats before games, as having Skippy peanut butter, strawberry jelly, cut halfway on toasted bread.

Well, peanut butter and jelly aficionado and, at this point, dancing spokesman, Ricky Jean Francois, gave his thoughts on Westbrook's choice.

"Everybody's got their different way," Jean Francois said. "The toasting part I would never do because that's a morning thing."

For those curious, here's how Jean Francois makes his perfect PB&J sandwich.

1. It all starts with the bread:

"I make sure I can find some fresh bread. You skip the first slice, because you don't make a peanut butter jelly sandwich with that."

2. You've got to go with crunchy:

"I like using the crunchy peanut butter, Jif. Back in the day, when I was kid, I used to get Peter Pan. Once I saw [Jif] had crunchy, I ran to them and stuck with them ever since."

3. Don't get cute with the jelly:

"When Smuckers sent me a gift package, I never knew there were that many different jellies. As long as it's grape, that's good with me."

4. Spread the butter and jelly with one knife, on both slices:

This takes a little explanation. Jean Francois spread peanut butter and jelly on to each slice and folds both together so that the jelly hits the butter on both sides.

"A lot of people look at me weird because you've got to stick that same knife or fork back in the jelly from the peanut butter that you mixed up together."

5. Cutting the sandwich depends on location:

"It depends. If I'm home, I'm going to cut it in half."

6. Pregame meal?

"I will knock three out. It will not have me full, but it will hit that spot [of] not making you full, not making me hungry."
