Because of the fact that Coldplay was performing in the stadium that the Redskins call home, it would have been poor manners for the British band not to have given proper thanks and a drop of good luck to the team for letting it be temporary tenants.

So, in front of thousands of fans, the band's lead singer, Chris Martin, finished up his song "Green Eyes" with a little medley. "This is going to give good luck to your football team," he said, proceeding to sing "Ohhh Redskins" a few times, to the delight of the FedExField faithful.

At one point, he also sat down for a song at the piano, where a Redskins helmet sat a few feet in front. It was, needless to say, a spectacular night. Here's what you may have missed on social media.
