-- In his daily "Need To Know," CSN Mid-Atlantic's Rich Tandler asks how the Redskins might be able to add more cap room for this offseason.

-- CSN Mid-Atlantic's Tarik El-Bashir reports that while most of the talk so far has been about locking up Kirk Cousins, the Redskins need to worry about finding a backup QB as well.

-- Tandler also writes about the question mark at the center position, and if the Redskins may pursue one in the draft. 

-- The NFL Player's Association announced that the Redskins have some leftover money to spend from last year, writes Rich Tandler. 

-- ESPN's John Keim reports that while franchise tagging Cousins is not the Redskins' best choice, it's the one they'll likely have to make. 

-- Keim also reports the Redskins are bullish on Matt Jones becoming their primary running back, just as long as he's able to fix some of his rookie mistakes. 

-- According to Keim, Cousins still has all the leverage in negotiations after he spoke with an agent familiar with these kinds of deals.

-- The Washington Post's Mike Jones writes that if the Redskins use the franchise-tag, Cousins wouldn't be too upset. 

-- The Washington Post's Liz Clarke writes that head coach Jay Gruden wants Cousins back in the fold at quarterback and expects him to improve.

-- Jones also writes that the Redskins are meeting with agents of their players to discuss restructuring their contracts in the case they must franchise Cousins.
