Yesterday was a difficult day for cornerback Bashaud Breeland.

In practice on Friday, Breeland suffered a right knee injury during a 1-on-1 drill against the wide receivers. As he back peddled and planted his right foot to quickly change directions, it appeared his knee buckled. Breeland immediately went to the ground and was quickly surrounded by several Redskins players, who got on a knee to support their teammate.

Just hours before that, the NFL announced that Breeland would be suspended for the first regular season game of 2015 against the Dolphins for a drug violation from last year.

Saturday morning, Breeland went to Twitter and let fans know that he's in positive spirits, that he has grown significantly since his rookie season and that he is looking forward to getting healthy and back on the field.
