Chris Thompson Encounters Madden Glitch

It is mind-blowing how realistic video games are. Electronic Arts' Madden NFL 17 is no exception.

But they are still video games, and every once in a while something can go wrong.

Redskins' running back Chris Thompson was playing Madden NFL 17 on Tuesday, and encountered something very strange and unexpected.

When the Redskins broke the huddle, kicker Dustin Hopkins was the quarterback, lineman Brandon Scherff was at running back, tight end Jordan Reed was at fullback, and defensive lineman Preston Smith, running back Keith Marshall, and wide receiver Ryan Grant were all on the offensive line.

Even with this glitch, Thompson decided to go through with the play.

Hopkins dropped back and completed a pass across the middle to guard Arie Kouandjio, who was lined up as a receiver, for a first down.

If it works, it works. Maybe we'll see another Hopkins-Kouandjio connection this Sunday.
