Commanders sign WR Braylon Sanders

The Washington Commanders have signed wide receiver Braylon Sanders and placed tight end Tyree Jackson on the Reserve/Injured list.

Sanders, who played football at Ole Miss, returns to the NFL after a stint with the DC Defenders in the UFL. In seven games with the Defenders, Sanders made 13 receptions for 332 yards and three touchdowns, including a 76-yarder against the San Antonio Brahmas.

Sanders began his professional career as an undrafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins, where he spent time on the active roster and practice squad. He appeared in three games during the 2022 season and caught two passes for 17 yards in Week 8 against the Detroit Lions.

Sanders spent the 2024 season on the New England Patriots' practice squad.
