How do you beat that look?
Former Ohio State wide receiver Evan Spencer was happy to smile as he put his signature onto his Redskins contract, just more than a week after he was selected by the Redskins in the sixth round.
Spencer, as we have noted in a few previous articles about him, was considered an MVP by his Buckeye teammates as Ohio State won the college football National Championship this past season.
What made Spencer so special to teammates was his willingness to do anything asked of him. He sacrificed stats but showcased a skillset that goes beyond catching the ball.
"Honestly, as far as the toughness that I bring and the leadership that I bring, I feel like I'm one of the tougher receivers out there that are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done and win football games," Spencer told the media after the Redskins drafted him. "Whatever that entails, that's what I'm willing to do, and I think that's one thing that I think probably appealed very well."
