Diane just turned 63, but unlike many fans that make their yearly pilgrimage to training camp, her Redskins history is the equivalent to Robert Griffin III's.

Driving down from Alexandria, Va., with her friend, Diane, originally from Front Royal, had never watched an entire football game except for a few high school affairs she happened to catch because her daughters played in the marching band.

"But my younger daughter one year said, 'I wonder if we could get Redskins tickets?'" Diane said. "So I put our name on the list."

They received a call a few weeks later and were asked if they'd like to buy club seats. The price initially made them hesitate but they ultimately decided to take them. She's happy with her decision.

"Now, I just really love it," she said. "We're season ticket holders. This will be our fourth season."

She goes with her daughter, who is now 28, to several games each season, sometimes splitting them with friends. For Diane, it's more about the community at games that has made the experience worth it.

"I'm a people watcher," she said. "So I like to go sit and tailgate and watch the people."

Coincidentally, Diane's daughter, who has a little more experience with watching football, couldn't make the trip to Richmond with her.

"She's funny, she loves going to the games, she loves the Redskins, but something like this didn't have any appeal to her," Diane said.

More time for Diane to watch, learn and, of course, people watch, anyways.
