Just 12 hours after stepping off a flight from Las Vegas, longtime Redskins fans Richard and Brenda Wray secured their spot behind the goal post for the first day of training camp.

For the third year in a row, the pair travelled across the country to the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center in Richmond, Va., to watch their favorite team prepare for the upcoming season.

Both Richard and Brenda originate from Richmond, but Brenda has spent the last 22 years in Vegas. Despite the distance, her devotion to the Redskins has never wavered.

"Once you're a Redskins fan, you're always a fan," Brenda says. "As I wander around Las Vegas during football season I see all the teams represented on hats and jerseys."

However, Brenda doesn't trust her luck in Vegas to just any team.

"When I see a Redskins one, I always go and talk to them because then I know it's going to be a lucky day for me in Las Vegas. I always win after I see a Redskins hat, it's like a good luck sign for me!" she said.

The lack of West Coast games on the schedule this year isn't stopping Richard and Brenda. They've already got plans to fly out for the home opener against the Miami Dolphins, and will also visit Atlanta for the game against the Falcons.

Brenda adds "If it's a good year I'll go to Dallas for the last game in January."
