Josh Norman Takes On Samoa Joe In Madden 18 All Stars Challenge

With an unscratchable itch to get on the real field this Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, Redskins cornerback Josh Norman went to the virtual world to get his competitive juices flowing.

In partnership with UpUpDownDown, WWE's YouTube gaming channel, Norman took part in the Madden 18 All-Star Challenge, where NFL stars are pitted against WWE Superstars in a (mostly) friendly game of Madden.

Norman drew Samoa Joe, who has been wrestling in WWE for three years. Samoa Joe decided he wanted to play with Norman's former team – the Carolina Panthers – as Norman looked to make plays with himself and his Redskins teammates.

True to his defensive self, Norman pitched a shutout in a 6-0 win over Samoa Joe. The lone score of the game came when Norman used quarterback Kirk Cousins to find tight end Vernon Davis for a short touchdown pass late in the first half (Norman pushed the extra point wide right).

Samoa Joe had a chance to tie the game late, but Norman sealed the Redskins' victory with a user pick deep in the secondary.
