Kevin Durant: 'We're Winning The Division'

Kevin Durant was blunt when asked about the NFC East this season, a division that currently has his Washington Redskins in first place.

"We're winning the division and we just have to keep it up," Durant told ESPN.com. "It's a down year for our division, but the Giants, Eagles, and Cowboys could all pick it up the last few weeks of the season. We have to stick to this momentum and we'll be fine."

Durant is keeping track of the Redskins from afar with the NBA season currently going on (he is currently averaging 28.4 points along with 7.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game).

He saw the team in person in Week 3, when the Redskins struggled on the road against the New York Giants in a 32-21 Thursday Night Football loss.

In that game, Kirk Cousins threw two interceptions.

But as the weeks have gone on, and as Cousins has gotten the reps needed to get into a flow, Durant has seen a change in the fourth-year Michigan State product.

"Kirk is gaining confidence, man," Durant said. "I'm a professional player, so when opportunity and confidence meet, that brings out a great player."
