Kirk Cousins Had The Best Pocket Square In FedExField On Sunday

A little more than a year ago, quarterback Trent Williams finished out a last minute victory over the Eagles with a tailored burgundy suit and certainly made an impression when he stepped up to the podium.

Sunday, after the Redskins beat the Eagles, 27-20, for their third consecutive time at FedExField, Cousins slid into the same burgundy suit. And while he switched up his undershirt and tie, he made one more addition that had fans just a little jealous: an "HTTR" pocket square.

When asked about the pocket square, Cousins replied by saying, "My wife dresses me now."

Which holds true to what the suit's designer, Sim Khan, president of Brimble and Clark, explained to me last year. Cousins' wife, Julie, initially approached him about wanting to up her husband's fashion, and Khan obliged.

"Kirk is all about football and he's all about the Redskins and the team," Khan said last year. "In order to make him comfortable enough to get him to wear something fitted, I kind of needed to put something together for him that had a functionality outside of just style."

Cousins completed 18-of-34 passes for 263 yards with two touchdowns and one interception Sunday, passing Jason Campbell (55) for seventh-most career passing touchdowns in team history.

More importantly, the Redskins won, which means wearing that burgundy suit continues to portend good fortune for him and his team.
