Talk of Fame: Where Does RFK Stadium Rank Among Past NFL Stadiums?

The Washington Redskins packed a lot of great memories into RFK Stadium in the 35 years they played there before they departed for FedExField.

So where does this historic building rank among the all-time great football stadiums?

The folks at the Talk of Fame Network were wondering the same thing, so they decided to poll their listeners and readers, and they asked them if they had a choice of which older stadium they could bring back to watch an NFL game in, which one would they prefer?

Naturally, RFK Stadium was one of the eight stadiums that's included in the poll.

Here's what Talk of Fame host Rick Gosselin had to say about RFK Stadium:

"A two-sport facility that housed baseball's Senators in addition to the Redskins. But the circular build of the stadium limited football seating to 56,000. That produced a cozy and loud environment that afforded the teams of Hall-of-Fame coaches George Allen and Joe Gibbs one of the most intimidating home fields in the NFL. When the place got rocking, the upper deck would shake. The Redskins won three Super Bowls calling RFK home."
