Tedi Reflects On Cheering In 2016 Pro Bowl

Check out what veteran Redskins cheerleader Tedi has been up to during the 2016 Pro Bowl in Honolulu.

Aloha Redskins Nation!

It is the day after the Pro Bowl game in beautiful Hawaii, and I am sitting on the beach reflecting on the amazing experience I had here.

As Pro Bowl Cheerleaders, we were drafted onto either Team Rice or Team Irvin. I was drafted onto Team Irvin, which ended up being the winning team!

Throughout the weekend we performed at multiple pep rallies on the beach, which was so much fun. To be able to perform on stage while looking at the ocean was a surreal experience. In addition to the pep rallies, we attended charity events, an NFL party and had an amazing team dinner with a bonus hula lesson. It was a blast!

I absolutely loved meeting Redskins fans and football fans from around the country at each event.

Whether the fans were mainlanders or local Hawaiians, it was amazing to hear their stories and what brought them to the Pro Bowl.

We had multiple rehearsals in the Hawaiian sun at Aloha Stadium. One highlight of rehearsal was when we practiced to "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten for our televised pregame performance.

It is a powerful song and it felt amazing to dance to it with my fellow NFL Cheerleaders and children from around the United States.

My biggest takeaway from the entire experience during Pro Bowl week is how inspiring the other women of the NFL are. We were able to connect over life experiences and learn from each other. I feel honored to be part of such an elite group of impressive women!

The "Aloha Spirit" is real here in Hawaii. The people are very laid back and welcoming. I couldn't ask for a better location to enjoy the honor of being a Pro Bowl Cheerleader.

I am thankful to my teammates, directors and the Redskins organization for allowing me the experience of a lifetime.

Mahalo & until football season,

Tedi
