The 'Ashburn Beach' Workout Is Apparently Very Exhausting

As Redskins players prepare for the upcoming season, maintain their shape for the offseason program, due to start in a couple of weeks, and kill boredom, they often prefer to try new workout methods with their teammates.

That was the case on Wednesday, when tight end Niles Paul corralled safety Su'a Cravens and wide receiver Maurice Harris to join him at the "Ashburn Beach," apparently a recently branded patch of sand in a neighborhood park for a workout.

The regimen is put on by ELITE Athletic program, which makes sure to document a lot of the drills that they put players through.  In fact, defensive lineman Chris Baker, who recently signed with the Buccaneers, is still in the Ashburn area and worked out with them in the morning.

That being said, not everyone was prepared for the physical toll that a sand workout takes. While players are usually shy about admitting their unpreparedness when it comes to conditioning, Cravens made sure to let Paul and Harris know he won't be doing sand workouts any time soon again.

Never walk into Redskins park and let @NilesP and Mo convince you to do a sand workout... I should've just stayed in my lane . #OD — Suzy (@Sua_Cravens) April 5, 2017

To help ease Cravens' mind, Paul tweeted something a little more embarrassing.

We know that Cravens watches a lot of T.V., so when he described the amount of time he spent recuperating using the length of two episodes of a former hit NBC show, it shouldn't have been a surprise.

@NilesP  I waited til I got to the crib and laid on the floor for about 2 episodes of parks and Recs before I got up — Suzy (@Sua_Cravens) April 5, 2017

Tight end Vernon Davis did not attend this beach workout – I'm sure he would have mastered it, especially considering he'll make a cameo in "Baywatch" next month – but he is also training around the D.C. area, getting back to his high school track roots.
