Currently, the Eastern View Cyclones are 7-0. They have generated a running clock for the second half in every one of their games this season. In total, Coach Hatfield is 81-24 during his nine and a half seasons as head coach.

Coach Hatfield motivates his student-athletes by generating enthusiasm for the program throughout the community. "We always kick off the season with a 'Midnight Madness' event that really gets the parents, other students, and fans excited," said Settle. "This is a great event that brings our student-athletes together and is something that they really enjoy. It's a great team bonding experience and is truly a spectacle to see."

In terms of safety, the Eastern View High School coaching staff works closely with the school's athletic trainers to evaluate injuries and determine proper next steps. In addition, the program's personnel is well versed on the 'Heads Up' program and teaches it regularly on the field. Off the field, Coach Hatfield preaches about the importance of maintaining a well-balanced diet, and the negative effects of eating poorly.

Settle ended by saying, "Coach Hatfield is extremely well-balanced and produces consistent results year after year. We at Eastern View High School are always on the hunt for district, conference, and state championships and we could not be more proud of our head football coach. He has been a fantastic fit for the program."
