In partnership with Johns Hopkins University, the Commanders packed 400 Hope Kits, filled with thoughtful items and a message of strength, for women undergoing chemotherapy. A small gesture of comfort and encouragement, these kits reflect our ongoing commitment to standing beside these courageous women and are a reminder that no one faces this fight alone.

Ahead of the team's Crucial Catch game, Sheldon Day, Sam Hartman and Major Tuddy visited the Ronald McDonald House in Northern Virginia. In addition to a tour of RMH, they spent time taking pictures and doing crafts with patients going through cancer treatment.

On Saturday, September 27, the Commanders hosted a coaches clinic ahead of Fairfax County's inaugural girls flag season. At the clinic, high school coaches received "classroom" and on the field training to equip them with the best tools for this season and beyond.

On Tuesday, September 30, quarterback Josh Johnson went to Capital Area Food Bank to help back and sort items to be distributed to communities in need across the DMV.

On Friday, September 26, the Commanders, including Major Tuddy, Command Force and Washington Legends, showed up and showed out for an NFL combine-style event at Marine Barracks Washington.

On Tuesday, September 23, Zach Ertz, joined by his family, went to one of D.C.'s most famous landmarks to take part in the sacred ritual of laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The gesture pays gratitude to and remembers the sacrifices of American service members.

As part of the team's Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, Commanders players and staff visited Mount Vernon Elementary School to assemble nutritious care package meal kits for kids who otherwise might go hungry over the weekend. The majority of students at Mount Vernon Elementary are English Language Learners, with many coming from Spanish-speaking households, and the school offers a dual-language program designed to make students bilingual, biliterate and culturally aware.

The Washington Commanders Charitable Foundation helped put together care packages for service members and first responders.

Students from Duval High School joined Jonathan Jones at College Park Aviation to learn about Jonathan's journey, hear from execs in aerospace and explore the museum.
