And both posed for a photo together on Tuesday.
Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin and Washington Redskins Hall of Fame running back John Riggins were spotted together, where they recorded radio spots for Papa John’s.
Riggins, of course, has been a Papa John's spokesman for a while, while Ovechkin recently inked a deal with the pizza chain and started his promotion, the "Ovechkin Wish Special." Those who buy two medium, one-topping pizzas will have $1 donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation's Mid-Atlantic chapter.
With the Capitals absolutely dominating the NHL at this point, they seem poised for a deep postseason run. Riggins is, obviously, very familiar with deep postseason runs in D.C. – think he shared a tip or two with Ovechkin?
