On Thursday, April 2, NFL Network will air the documentary "Caught In The Draft: 1965," an inside look at the amount of incredible talent that came from the college ranks that year – including Dick Butkus, Gale Sayers and Joe Namath.

Do you remember whom the Redskins selected?

The team started by trading away their first round pick to the Bears for Angelo Coia and Fred Williams. Their first selection then came in the second round, choosing offensive lineman Bob Breitenstein.

In the third round, they chose what is now a very familiar last name.

With the 34th overall pick, the Redskins took Kent McCloughan, general manager Scot McCloughan's father, out of Nebraska to play cornerback. He was quickly shipped to Oakland, however.

"I had not thought about being a cornerback because at Nebraska I played safety in a zone defense, which meant I could lay back for passes," Kent told *The Washington Post* in January**.** "But I did not have any experience in man-to-man coverage of pass receivers required of a cornerback. So I thought I would have a better opportunity with the Raiders, who needed defensive players at that time."

The Redskins made more trades in the fourth and fifth rounds, first receiving J.W. Lockett from the Colts, who would select Marty Schottenheimer, and later with the Giants. In the latter trade, Washington dealt Andy Stynchula, Dick James and their fifth round draft pick to New York for Sam Huff and George Seals.

Of course you remember that.

Make sure to tune in at 9 p.m. Thursday to refresh your memory.
