PHOTOS: 2019 Redskins High School Coaches Clinic Presented By Inova Sports Medicine
The Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation hosted its fourth High School Coaches Clinic on Wednesday. Unlike in past years, student athletes joined about 50 coaches at the Inova Sports Performance Center at Redskins Park on Wednesday to hear from members of the Redskins' staff, learn about player safety and test their physical abilities against local peers.

On Wednesday, June 14, the Washington Commanders announced a $75,000 donation to Digital Pioneers Academy to assist in the launch of its first-ever football program. Commanders President Jason Wright, Commanders players Saahdiq Charles, Kamren Curl, Jarrett Patterson, and Darrick Forest and Commanders Director of Alumni Engagement joined a student assembly on the Digital Pioneers Academy's last day of school.
Digital Pioneers Academy is a public charter school operating two campuses in the District of Columbia seeking fundraising support for the launch of its football program, expected to begin in the fall. The Commanders are proud to support this effort, particularly as the Digital Pioneers Academy community recovers from the recent loss of two students to gun violence.

On Wednesday, April 26, select Washington Commanders players Alex Akingbulu, Alex Erickson, Christian Holmes, Aaron Monteiro, Chris Paul, Keaton Sutherland, Casey Toohill, and Jonathan Williams, Command Force Veterans and Team Captains Crysten and Ashley, and Major Tuddy took a tour of the Pentagon. On Saturday, Aug. 6, the Commanders welcomed Josiah Desper, an 11-year-old football lover who recently finished his maintenance treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and his family for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at FedExField. On the night of the team's open practice, Josiah was invited into the locker room by Coach Rivera, met his favorite players, received a personalized jersey, ran drills on the field and more.

This week, our rookie class embarked on a bus tour to visit the historical sights of Washington D.C. As a part of the Rookie Community Club, the goal of this trip was to introduce the players to their new home in the Nation's Capital and to pay tribute to our Nation's history. The tour highlighted the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial, where players were offered the chance to interact with the community and be present in the spaces where Martin Luther King Jr.'s impact on social justice has lead us to today. Last week, the Washington Commanders hosted Doug Herbert's B.R.A.K.E.S training program at FedExField for rookies and veterans to learn important safety skills on the road. On Tuesday, April 26th, Washington Commanders co-owner and co-CEO Tanya Snyder, Head Coach Ron Rivera and his wife Stephanie Rivera and Commanders players Jonathan Allen and Jamin Davis teamed up with USO to hand deliver care packages to troops at BWI airport just before they board the plane for deployment. The USO2GO Packs handed out today were packaged during the Commander's packaging event held on March 10th at FedExField, when the team and USO together packed 4,0000 Care Packages comprising more than 24,000 items for troops.
