The Redskins host their first Thanksgiving home game in franchise history, earning a 20-10 win against the New York Giants. After the game, wide receiver Jamison Crowder, quarterback Kirk Cousins, linebacker Ryan Kerrigan and most of the offensive line chomp on turkey legs during postgame interviews with NBC's Michele Tafoya.

The Redskins announce that Doug Williams, Super Bowl XXII MVP, has been promoted Senior Vice President of Player Personnel after three-plus years as a personnel executive with the team. Said Williams, "I've been around the circuit, but there's nothing like coming back here to a place that gave you an opportunity to be on top of the stage in football. Washington did that for me."

Four Redskins — linebacker Ryan Kerrigan, tight end Jordan Reed, guard Brandon Scherff and tackle Trent Williams — are selected to the 2017 Pro Bowl. Reed and Scherff's selections are their first of their careers, while Williams becomes only the third member of the Redskins since 1970 to earn five consecutive Pro Bowl selections.

Former General Manager Bobby Beathard is inducted as the 49th member of the Redskins Ring of Fame at halftime of the Redskins' victory against the Minnesota Vikings.
