Close Games Still a Struggle, Campbell Says

On the two timeout rule:

"That didn't lose the game. I know Coach Gibbs (Redskins Head Coach) said that was on him, but it is really not on him. There were a lot of plays in the game that lost us the game. You count the two turnovers by me; I am a big part of it more than anybody probably. We just have to continue to fight through the next four games. Take them one game at a time. It has been a tough week for us. It has just been that type of year for us. We haven't won the close game. Each game is just inches. That is just how it has been for us all season. We just have to try to keep our heads high. That is not a loss on Coach Gibbs. We are all a part of it. I was a major part of it."

On how hard it was to play this game:

"It was tough a little bit to get mentally prepared this week to get ready to play a game. Sean (Taylor) meant so much to us as a person and also as a player. We tried to do the best we could with the things we needed to do to prepare ourselves for the game. In the back of our minds it was always go there and it still is. For whatever reason, it has been a tough year for us. We just have to try to find a way to pull through towards the end."

On the feeling at the end of the game:

"It's like your heart dropped all the way to your feet. We wanted to come out here today and win one for Sean and try to keep ourselves in the playoff hunt. To get so close, he almost missed it. It has been that kind of year for us. Like I said, we just have to find some kind of way to stay positive, stay encouraging, support each other, push each other. This is going to be a short week for us. We will be right back here in four days. We have to find some kind of way of way to find some energy, some motivation."

On playing his first game without Sean Taylor:

"Our first game out, you run on some many emotions. The game first started off and you're pumped and ready to play and you want to go out there and do it for Sean. I think it weighed on us late in the game. We went back and forth. You could probably tell a couple of guys still had it in the back of their mind, rightfully so. It would have been a big game for us. If we could have gotten this one I think it probably would have helped us as far as how we have been feeling all week and second it would have given us momentum heading into this Thursday night game."

On the upcoming week:

"Tomorrow is going to be a long day for us. We have to go to Miami and what we have to do in Miami and when we come back we have to find a way to push each other, support each other. Coach (Gibbs, Head Coach) said he was going to give us a long weekend. What we need to do is find some kind of way to put all our energy when we get back towards the game on Thursday night. No one is going to feel bad for us. No one is going to feel sorry for us, so we have to come out and play a hard fought game Thursday night."

On how he thinks the team handled this week:

"I thought the guys handled it very well. Guys showed a lot strong heart. I think the biggest thing for us this week is we have the opportunity to be amongst each other to talk about it. We can get everything out in the open and everything that you were holding on the inside you will be able to express with your teammates. Secondly, when Sean's daddy and girlfriend had the opportunity to come in and talk to us, it gave us a lot of motivation, a lot of courage to try to go on and try to do the things he would want us to do. It was such an emotional week for us, it still is, but we have to find some kind of way to stay together, stay strong."

On if being on the sideline during the game was hard:

"It was hard sometimes. It is always on the back of your mind. Today everything was still weird before the game. It still wasn't the same kind of feeling that you have before most games. We came out and fought hard. Guys fought hard with everything that was going on this week for them to come out the way they did it really gave us an opportunity to be successful today, like I said I had a big part of it as far as turnovers."

On the fans today:

"We just want to say thanks to all the fans for all the support they gave us this week and being there for us. Even after we lost there were still a lot of them in there standing, rooting us on and trying to give us a lot of encouragement. We just want to say thanks to all the fans and all the people that supported us."
