Jim Zorn Monday Press Conference

On Jason Taylor's condition:

"What we know is that yesterday in the second quarter he got kicked in the calf [on his left leg]. We wrapped it up and he played the rest of the game with no problem. Later on that night it started getting sore and the symptoms continued to get worse. He called the doctors and they looked at it and took him to the hospital. It's called compartmental syndrome. He's going to be fine. Our problem is that he's going to be out for the Dallas game for sure. I can't tell you beyond that."

On the impact of losing Jason Taylor:

"It hurts us because he's our starting defensive end. It's an opportunity now for the next guy to come in and show up with Erasmus [James], with Chris Wilson, with Demetric [Evans]. All those guys are getting snaps, but now they have a chance to really show a little bit more, and we're hoping that happens. I've got to talk to Greg [Blache] about that [who will be starting at defensive end on Sunday]. We'll know at some point during the week-- it won't be a game time decision."

On defensive end Erasmus James:

"He's getting back into the swing of things. He hasn't been where he wants to be or where we want him to be, but he's going to continue to improve. He's on an uphill track for us, and I think that's good."

On pressuring Arizona Cardinals QB Kurt Warner:

"We put some pressure on him. We had to pick our times because of who their receivers were and what we had to do with them in coverage. He played pretty well: seeing things down the field, hitting the open guy, getting the ball out. He did a pretty good job."

On tackle Stephon Heyer:

"He's going to be fine. This is going to be a little bit of wait and see how his shoulder responds. If we had to practice today, I would have him listed as out right now because of his shoulder. Jon Jansen has to step right up there. He's been our starter before, so I don't see any problem with that. If he [Stephon Heyer] could practice on Wednesday, for example, or Thursday, then he would still start on Sunday. I think he would have to start practicing by Thursday for me to feel comfortable with him [starting on Sunday]."

On quarterback Jason Campbell and the offense:

"I'm very pleased with how he played the whole game. I'm very pleased with our concentration level. On offense, we're in the middle of the pack on everything. We've done a lot of things well, but we're not doing everything great. We have a lot of room for improvement. The win is great, but improvement will be even better."
