My Cause My Cleats - Kapri Bibbs

BIBBS-2560x1440

"A blessing isn't really considered a blessing if you keep it to yourself. A blessing is meant to be past among others, so I want to do the best I can to pass my blessings out."

Growing up in Chicago, running back Kapri Bibbs experienced hardships first hand. Once making it to the NFL, he became determined to help make a difference in the community that raised him. Through his non-profit foundation "Keep Letting Them Believe," Bibbs works to provide the inner-city youth in Chicago with sports equipment, school supplies and other necessary resources that may not be available.

"I want to just keep doing the best I can and also bring light to that. There's obviously other people in the Chicago area doing a great job of giving back," Bibbs said. "Chance The Rapper, Kanye with the schools, Oprah Winfrey. I want to help like those guys."

Though Bibbs' foundation began three years ago, this year will mark the first time he gets to participate in "My Cause My Cleats." As someone who wants to bring more recognition to his cause and help others in anyway possible, the week is something he's been looking forward to all season.

"I think it's a cool thing to do, especially with the NFL giving their donations and stuff like that to the foundations. I think it's fantastic, I'm in love with it," Bibbs said. "I love giving back, that's what I live for. I don't care about fame, I don't care about money, I care about my legacy and how people view my time on earth, my impact on earth."
