The Redskins Read Playbook is built off the success of the Redskins Read Activity Book, a 24-page workbook that teaches language arts, mathematics, social studies, and health and wellness through the use of Redskins players and sports.

The Redskins Read Playbook, though, takes the Redskins Read Activity Book concept to the next level with 60 jam-packed pages of activities for kids including:

  • "Getting to Know" sections featuring over 30 different Washington Redskins players
  • Word finds
  • Sudoku puzzles
  • Poetry
  • Coloring pages
  • Math and number puzzles
  • A story by Redskins alumnus Ken Harvey written especially for the Redskins Read Playbook
  • A full-color sticker page with 70 stickers!

The Redskins Read Playbook retails for $10 with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to the literacy efforts of the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation.

The Redskins Read Playbook is an extension of the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation's literacy program, Redskins Read.

Since 2000, the Foundation has promoted and encouraged literacy among area youth through player reading appearances, Redskins Read Books on CD!, and the free distribution of the Redskins Read Activity Book to schools, libraries, and nonprofit organizations. This year, the foundation is celebrating the distribution of the 1,000,000th Redskins Read Activity Book.
