Punter Tress Way was named to the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA) All-NFC team, the organization announced Wednesday.

In his sixth season with the Washington Redskins, Way ranked first in the NFL in punt average (49.6), second in total yards (3,919) and net yards (3,485) and third in net punt average (44.1). Furthermore, he downed 30 punts inside the 20-yard line with just four touchbacks.

Behind these statistics, Way was named as a second-team All-Pro and the starting punter for the NFC in the 2020 Pro Bowl.

Way, 29, currently holds the Redskins' franchise record for single-season punt average (49.6; 2019), net average (44.1; 2019) and punts downed inside the 20-yard line (41; 2018). He signed a multi-year extension with the team after this past season.
