    Biography

    The Washington Commanders selected offensive tackle Chris Paul in the seventh round (No. 230 overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft. Paul is the eighth player drafted out of Tulsa in franchise history.

    Paul, (6-4, 234) is the 509th selection made by Washington in the Common Draft era (since 1967) and the 102nd seventh-round selection in franchise history.

    A three-year letter winner and starter, Paul played in 32 career games and had 28 starts with Tulsa. He made the move from left guard to right tackle in 2020 and has started games at right tackle (8), left guard (12) and right guard (8) in his career.

    Paul was named to the NCAA's Division I Football Oversight Committee as a SAAC representative for 2021.

    He also serves as the American Athletic Conference's representative to the NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and is a member of the NCAA Board of Governors Committee to Promote Cultural Diversity and Equity (CPCDE).

    A native of Houston, Texas Paul attended Jersey Village and helped anchor an offense that averaged 446 yards per game.
