A list of stats and notes from the Washington Commanders' 34-26 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, presented by BDO by the Numbers, as compiled by Washington Commanders Public Relations.

General

  • The Washington Commanders fell to the Dallas Cowboys 34-26 on Sunday afternoon.
  • Per Elias Sports, this marks the first time since 1977 that a Washington team blocked a field goal and blocked a punt in a single game and the first time a team has done it since the New York Jets in 2022.

Offense

  • QB Jayden Daniels completed 25-of-38 passes for two touchdowns and two interceptions. He also rushed for 74 yards on seven attempts and one rushing touchdown.
  • Daniels surpassed 2,500 passing yards and 500 rushing yards today joining Robert Griffin III and Cam Newton as the fastest players to reach those marks to begin an NFL career. Daniels did so in his 12th career game.
  • WR Terry McLaurin caught five passes for 102 yards and a touchdown. His 86-yard touchdown reception was the longest of his career.
  • McLaurin has now recorded 100-plus receiving yards in five games this season, the most in a single-season in his career.
  • McLaurin (430) passed TE Chris Cooley (429) for the fifth-most receptions in franchise history.
  • RB Austin Ekeler rushed for 22 yards and caught two passes.
  • Ekeler (473) passed Thurman Thomas (472) for 25th all-time in receptions by a running back in franchise history.
  • TE Zach Ertz caught six passes for 38 yards and a touchdown. His touchdown was the 49th of his career, moving him into a tie with Keith Jackson for No. 16 all-time in NFL history in touchdown receptions by a tight end.

Defense

  • DT Johnny Newton had four tackles and recorded his first career forced fumble.
  • LB Frankie Luvu finished tied for the team-leading eight tackles. He also added one tackle for loss and three passes defensed.
  • LB Bobby Wagner had eight total tackles and his 12th career fumble recovery.
  • DT Daron Payne recorded his 1.5 sack of the season.
