General

  • The Washington Commanders defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 24-17 on Sunday afternoon.
  • Washington finished the season 3-3 against the NFC East. It was the first time that Washington has finished .500 or better against the division in consecutive seasons since 2015-16.
  • Washington defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2015-16.
  • Washington defeated the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field for the first time since 2022.
  • Washington won their 90th regular season game against Philadelphia, moving the all-time regular season series to 90-86-5 in favor of Washington.
  • Washington won their 44th regular season road game against Philadelphia, moving the all-time regular season home series to a 44-4-2 tie.
  • Washington possessed the ball for nine minutes and 48 seconds on its opening possession. It's the longest first possession for Washington since at least 2001.
  • Washington finished the season with the sixth-most rushing yards in a single season in franchise history. (Note the 17 game season which started in 2021).

Offense

  • QB Josh Johnson completed 14-of-22 passes for 131 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also rushed for 45 yards and one rushing touchdown.
  • Johnson rushed for a touchdown for the first time since Week 14 of 2018.
  • This was the first game since Week 14 of 2018 that Johnson rushed and threw for a touchdown in the same game.
  • TE John Bates caught two passes for 13 yards and one touchdown.
  • Bates recorded a touchdown reception for the first time since Week 12, 2022.
  • WR Terry McLaurin caught four passes for 57 yards.
  • McLaurin (71) passed Pierre Garcon (67) and Pat Tilley (67) for No. 10 all-time in NFL history in reception against Philadelphia.
  • McLaurin amassed 1,000-plus career receiving yards against the Philadelphia Eagles. He is now the fifth player in franchise history to amass 1,000-plus career receiving yards against Philadelphia. He joins Jason Witten, Art Monk, Bobby Mitchell, Charley Taylor, Gary Clark, Amani Toomer, Bobby Hayes and Michael Irvin as the only players in NFL history to accomplish the feat.
  • McLaurin (73) passed Bobby Mitchell (70) for No. 3 all-time in career receptions in franchise history against the Philadelphia Eagles.
  • McLaurin (1,027) passed Gary Clark (1,014) for No. 4 all-time in career receiving yards in franchise history against the Philadelphia Eagles.
  • RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. rushed for a team-leading 65 yards and one touchdown.
  • Rodriguez Jr. rushed for his tenth career rushing touchdown in the second quarter.
  • RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt rushed for 29 yards on 13 carries and finished the season with 805 rushing yards.
  • Croskey-Merritt (805) passed Antonio Gibson (795 in 2020) and Brian Robinson Jr. (797 in 2022) for No. 6 all-time in franchise history in rushing yards by a rookie and No. 4 all-time in franchise history in rushing yards by a rookie running back.

Defense

  • CB Noah Igbinoghene totaled three tackles, one sack and one quarterback hit.
  • Igbinoghene recorded his first career sack in the third quarter.
  • OLB Von Miller recorded two tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss and one quarterback hit.
  • Miller finished with 9.0 sacks this season, the most sacks he has had in a single season since 2021 (9.5).
  • With 138.5 career sacks, Miller has now tied with LB DeMarcus Ware for No. 9 all-time in NFL history in official sacks (since 1982).
  • S Jeremy Reaves finished with six total tackles, two passes defensed and one interception.
  • Reaves recorded his second career interception and first since Week 17 of the 2020 season.
  • LB Bobby Wagner totaled five tackles in the season finale.
  • Per Pro Football Reference, Wagner has surpassed 2,000 career tackles, becoming one of three players in NFL history to accomplish the feat. He joins Hall of Fame LB Ray Lewis and LB London Fletcher.

Special Teams

  • K Jake Moody connected on one field goal and three point after attempts.
  • Moody connected on a 56-yard field goal at the end of the second quarter. That is the second longest field goal in his career and the longest since a 57-yard field goal in Week 2 of the 2023 season.
  • With this game played, P Tress Way has now tied with Len Hauss for fifth most games played by a player in franchise history (196).
