- The Washington Commanders fell to the Dallas Cowboys 44-22 on Sunday afternoon.
- Washington recorded a safety in the first quarter to make the score 7-2. It is Washington's first safety since DT Daron Payne's safety against Philadelphia in Week 3 of the 2022 season.
- It is the fourth safety recorded by Washington against Dallas all-time and the first since DT Jonathan Allen recorded one against Dallas since 2020. It was the first safety ever recorded by Washington at AT&T Stadium and the first recorded on the road at Dallas since 1964.
- Washington has seven pass break-ups in the first half, the most in a first half since Week 15, 2011.

Offense
- QB Jayden Daniels completed 12-of-22 passes for 156 passing yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for 35 yards and a touchdown.
- Daniels has thrown a touchdown pass in five straight games to start the season, which is the sixth longest streak in team history.
- Daniels first rushing touchdown and touchdown pass in the same game since 2025 NFC Championship game.
- Daniels recorded one rushing and one passing touchdown for the fifth time in his career, which is the third-most in a career in franchise history.
- QB Marcus Mariota completed four-of-10 passes for 63 yards. He also rushed for 34 yards.
- WR Robbie Chosen caught four passes for 36 yards.
- Chosen has his first multiple reception game since Week 11, 2023.
- Chosen's four receptions are his most since Week 14, 2022.
- TE Zach Ertz recorded three receptions for 37 yards and one touchdown.
- Ertz caught his fourth touchdown of the season and is now tied for second among all other tight ends for receiving touchdowns this season.
- Ertz has recorded his 92nd career reception against Dallas. He has passed WR Santana Moss (91) for the fourth-most receptions against Dallas by any player in NFL history.
- WR Jaylin Lane caught three passes for 60 yards.
- Lane has recorded a reception of 25-plus yards in consecutive weeks. He's the first Washington rookie to do so since WR Jahan Dotson in Week's 13 and 14 of the 2022 season.
- Lane set a new career-high with 60 receiving yards. He is the first rookie WR since Jahan Dotson in Week 16 of the 2022 season to have recorded at least 60 receiving yards in a team game.
- WR Luke McCaffrey recorded eight kickoff returns for 209 yards.
- McCaffrey's 209 kickoff return yards are the third-most in a single game in team history.
- RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. rushed for 12 yards and one touchdown.
- Rodriguez Jr. rushed for his first touchdown of the season.
Defense
- LB Frankie Luvu totaled six tackles and two tackles for loss.
- Luvu recorded multiple tackles for loss for the first time this season.
- OLB Von Miller and DE Jacob Martin each recorded 0.5 sacks.
- DT Daron Payne recorded five total tackles, three passes defensed, one quarterback hit and one tackle for loss.
- DT Daron Payne and DE Jacob Martin tackled Javonte Williams in the end zone for a safety. It is Washington's first safety since Payne's safety against Philadelphia in Week 3 of the 2022 season.
- It's the second safety Payne has accounted for in his career, the most by a single player in franchise history.
- Payne joins DT Calais Campbell, DE Leonard Floyd and DE Matthew Judon as the fourth active player in the league with multiple safeties in their career.
- Payne has set a single game career-high with three pass defenses. It is the most passes defensed in a single game by a Washington defensive lineman since DE Montez Sweat against Pittsburgh in 2020.
- Payne joined Panthers DT Derrick Brown, Raiders DE Maxx Crosby and Steelers DE Cameron Heyward as the only defensive linemen this season to record three-plus passes defensed in a single game.
- Payne is the first defensive lineman to record three-plus passes defensed in the first half of a game since Minnesota DL Brian Robinson in 2012.
- CB Mike Sainristil had three total tackles and two passes defensed.
- LB Bobby Wagner led the team with eight total tackles.
