Gabby was in the right place at the right time.

Driving home on Watson Road in Leesburg, Va., last week, her SUV's tire went flat, forcing her to pull over. Before she needed to call for help, former Redskins defensive back DeAngelo Hall had pulled up beside her.

Hall quickly changed out her flat tire and put on a spare, allowing her to drive home without waiting for any service. Gabby, a Redskins fan who preferred not to disclose her full name, was thankful to be in the right place at the right time.

"He was so nice, respectful, unassuming and really happy to help someone in need," she wrote to Redskins.com. "I could tell that was his character."

Hall, who recently opened up a new barbershop in Ashburn, still lives in the area, managing multiple projects, including contributing to NFL Network as co-host and analyst for "Good Morning Football," among other shows.

Less than a year after retiring, he's still surprising fans.

"I think that it is important for people to know that some celebrities/athletes perform acts of kindness on a daily basis," Gabby wrote.
