WEEK 11 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK NOMINEE

Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has been nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week for his Week 11 performance against the Philadelphia Eagles.

One week after being elected a team captain by his teammates, Griffin III completed 14-of-15 passes for 200 yards and four touchdowns last Sunday.  He also rushed for a game-high 84 yards on 12 carries, helping to push the Redskins past the Eagles 31-6.

Griffin III has been nominated three times this season (Weeks 1, 4, 6) and has won the award each time.  Teammate Alfred Morris also won the award on his only nomination in Week 7.

Griffin III is competing in a fan vote on NFL.com with receiver Justin Blackmon of the Jacksonville Jaguars, cornerback Alfonzo Dennard of the New England Patriots, receiver T.Y. Hilton of the Indianapolis Colts and running back Doug Martin of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fans can vote for one of these five players on NFL.com/rookies beginning Tuesday at 9 A.M. ET and ending on Friday at 3 P.M. ET to determine the NFL Week 11 Rookie of the Week.

The winner will be announced Friday on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and on NFL.com.

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for NFL Rookie of the Year honors.  Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/rookies throughout the month of January.
