Hall: Groin Injury During Practice

John Hall suffered a groin injury during Thursday's practice and his status for Sunday's game has been listed as questionable.

If Hall is unable to play, the Redskins will need to quickly add a kicker to the 53-man roster--possibly as soon as Friday. Among the possibilities: Ola Kimrin.

During training camp and preseason games, the Redskins had Kimrin as a backup to Hall. Kimrin was 4-4 on field goals during preseason. He kicked a 39-yard game-winner in the Aug. 7 Hall of Fame Game to beat the Denver Broncos 20-17 in Canton, Ohio.

When Hall had a hamstring injury during Week 2, Kimrin was briefly signed to the Redskins' practice squad. He was released the following week.

The Redskins listed no other changes to the team's injury report on Thursday.

O-Line Has Hands Full

Redskins assistant head coach-offense Joe Bugel says the Bears upgraded their defensive line last offseason and Sunday's game could be one of the team's toughest challenges this season.

The Bears drafted rookie defensive tackle Tommie Harris in the first round last April, then in a preseason trade acquired Pro Bowl defensive end Adewale Ogunleye. They join end Alex Brown and tackle Alfonso Boone on the defensive line.

"[Ogunleye] is an excellent pass rusher," Bugel said. "I know that when he didn't resign with Miami, a lot of teams were after him. He's a very valuable product."

"They really upgraded their whole defense. They brought in a lot of young players through the draft. They're building the right way. Chicago's known for their great defenses--nothing's changed."
